Campus
The Université Laval campus offers an outstanding and safe study and living environment. With its greenspace, woodlands, and extensive network of foot and bike paths, our North-American-style campus and its buildings are easy to navigate and access. The campus is close to the city centre and well integrated into the community, with a rich cultural, athletic, and social life all its own.
At the heart of university life
Student residences
The on-campus student residences at Université Laval are a safe, welcoming, and affordable housing option that provide a great study environment and great value. By choosing to live in one of the four residence halls, one of which is for women only, you will experience a real community feel in close proximity to all campus services.
Taste of ULaval
In most buildings on campus, there are a variety of meal options at affordable prices, from student-run quick service counters, to restaurants and cafés. Among these options, there is le Pub universitaire, the campus pub; and the Saveurs Campus food court. You can also taste products produced on campus by our students: produce from AgroCité, cheeses from Fromagerie du campus, breads and pastries from BoULangerie du Comtois, honey from CRSAD and the ULaval Teaching Apiary, or beer brewed right here at student microbreweries such as Brassta and Microbroue.
Library
The library specializes in all fields taught at ULaval and is one of the largest in Canada. It houses millions of documents and provides access to thousands of electronic resources through its website. A number of newly renovated study spaces are also available for students to use.
PEPS
The PEPS (Pavillon de l’Éducation physique et des sports) sports complex is the leading centre for recreational and competitive sports in the region. It boasts modern facilities and offers many sports activities. You can also join one of the many intramural leagues and enjoy your favourite sport in a fun, competitive atmosphere.
TELUS–Université Laval Stadium
The opening of the stadium in 2012 further cemented the key role ULaval plays in sports in the region. You will enjoy modern equipment in an environment specially adapted for playing soccer, rugby, and football. The sustainably-designed stadium features a wooden structure and other green building features that have earned the university a number of prestigious architecture awards.
Getting around
Great transit connections make it easy to take advantage of all the activities, attractions, and services the city has to offer. Whether you want to visit historic Old Québec or go shopping in any of the three nearby shopping centres, including the biggest mall in Eastern Canada, ULaval’s strategic location can’t be beat.
Travelling by car is easy too. The university is well served by major arteries and there is lots of parking on campus. Trying to be green? ULaval supports sustainable development with campus charging stations for electric cars and offers a car sharing service with or without reservations.
The campus also has a network of underground tunnels so you can stay safe, warm, and dry when walking from building to building.
