STA-6993 Food Consumption Surveys and Exposure Models
This course will review approaches of food exposure assessments for chemicals that may occur in food, as a result of contamination, use in food applications (e.g., pesticide applications, veterinary applications, additive use, etc…). Methodologies to conduct exposure assessments will be reviewed and discussed for their fit for purpose in the context of risk assessments undertaken both for the purposes of developing standards and in the context of incident management. Case studies and recent assessments undertaken by international food risk assessment agencies will serve as the basis for this course.
