Prerequisite courses for health sciences
If you hold a pre-university diploma totalling 12 years of education and wish to study in a health sciences program with limited enrolment, you must first apply for admission to an unlimited enrolment program to complete the required qualifying year. Please note that a French baccalaureate in secondary education, a general or technological baccalaureate, and an international baccalaureate (IB) totalling 12 years of education may make you directly eligible for certain health sciences programs.
For more information, please see the admission requirements for each type of applicant.
Successfully completing the qualifying year and prerequisite courses does not guarantee admission to your chosen limited enrolment program. During your qualifying year, you will need to apply for admission to your chosen limited enrolment program, and your file will be evaluated according to the admission requirements and your application profile.
Make sure to follow the deadlines that apply to your situation. Applicants for the following degrees must follow the deadline for university applicants: Doctorate in Medicine, Undergraduate Doctorate in Pharmacy, and bachelor’s degrees in occupational therapy, physiotherapy, and biomedical sciences.
Choosing an unlimited enrolment program
We recommend choosing from university programs that interest you. Being genuinely interested in a program of study can help you achieve better grades, which in turn may help you gain admission to the limited enrolment program that interests you. If your application is unsuccessful, you will have another university program to fall back on and continue your studies in a field that appeals to you.
View our suggestions for programs related (French only) to the limited enrolment program that interests you.
